Labor disputes
curse of the western world
this time
Canada Post
another union
cutting off their nose
despite the face

On top of
dock workers
in Montreal
and west coast
affecting billions of dollars
in commerce
every day

If I were Prime Minister
all jobs would be deemed
essential
and then
would create the
Department of Binding Arbitration

Collective agreements
when expired
would immediately go there
for resolution
along with a union’s demands
and employer’s offer

No more strikes
no more lock outs
work to rule

This country is in enough trouble as it is
but then
what do I know?
