on a faux-fall
July in September
kind of day

Even if it doesn’t make much sense
the sun is dancing
high and bright though already
rising later and setting earlier

Just a regular Saturday afternoon
the shopping’s done
and someone’s having fun
playing word tag on the computer

No - not everyone’s cup of tea
going about their own business
now I don’t know about you
but that makes perfect sense to me
