Poets are like vampires
we don’t settle old scores
we harbor them
for we are already immortal
in our many words
and have all eternity to solve disputes
while we reap the benefits of
the inspiration it gives us
meditate on what was learned in
two poets locking horns
with the possibility
at some point up ahead
our poetry has evolved enough
to lock horns again
but on friendlier terms
with politics left at the doorstep
