Shocked but not Surprised
A common response heard around the world
Including here above the 49th parallel
Followed by though there’s still a lot of good Americans

And as most of us know
Whatever happens in the States
Affects us directly or indirectly
The proverbial elephant and mouse in bed

The scary part about all this is
Without the protection of the United States
Given our current military situation
Canada may not exist for long
