Since the pandemic
some things don’t matter
as much anymore

lose a loved one
you took for granted
would always be around

as that false security blanket
once more torn away
in realization how temporary

the whole thing was
and is slowly buried
in layers of dust

as one gets older
keeping a house spic & span
takes on a different meaning

especially since the pandemic
cause some things
don’t matter as much anymore
