Though it was never really gone
a word best used in moderation
and not to be confused with
the homophone wack
as in wack-job or that show
was a whole lot of wack

Where did it come from?
apart from meaning an
ambiguous quantity
the sound something makes
when hit by or hit against
another surface

My favorite being a whack of bacon
as I’d rather eat a whack
than get whacked
or being whacked
from thinking too hard about
the meaning of a word
