Ignore

Never switch off my memory
Or my eyes. My sixth and
First senses bookend my
Perception and drown out
Everything else.
A million years ago, they
Would have helped me to
Survive, but now they
Merely shrink my world and
Make me long to be
Forgotten and unseen.

But I’ve deduced to ignore the truth for safety and comfort leaves you stuck, might be ok in better times but boy do you feel your stuckedness in challenging times. You always go back to retracing your steps and recognizing the truth and moving forward from it no matter how hard. Acceptance is actually logical I used to think it was weakness but acceptance makes two opposing situation disappear in your favour. |
