Inner voice says
time to break out of
this synthetic womb
comfortable as it may be

Body, mind and soul
stiffen from too much sitting
and everything ages faster
with no sense of adventure

Met a kindred spirit
down Kingston way
Ontario that is
only a short trip along the 401

She’s invited me up
for conversation and eats
with Queen on the musical menu
and whatever else
tickles our fancy

Maybe even a new comfort zone
