it’s all a setup anyways
the gods do like to have their fun
angels rearrange the furniture and lighting
and for us it’s just a walk-in part

as we play ourselves as best we can
learning lines along the way
while personalities sharpen
into who and what we’ve always been

and in this
the god of all gods
smiles
nodding his head
