Think I may have finally lost it
Both elated and afraid
Though has happened before
Disappointed and happy
But was never really far away

So it remains
In a manner of speaking
Just shows up a little less these days
And that’s fine by me
After 50 years

When it does reappear
It talks to me in riddles
That I have to somehow decipher
So the rest of the world
Doesn’t think I’m entirely insane

And just when I think I may have lost it
Just like now
It finds me again
