The Sea of Words
is calm tonight
has been the past few days
except for USOs
diving into and
launching out of the ocean
always tapped into the waves
as all the Internet
to avail themselves of the
wealth of wisdom and madness
to better understand this world

And though the Sea is placid
is it the calm before the storm?
or after?
or better the calm between

As the seasons change
so does the artist
takes time to adjust
to air pressure and humidity
under the influence of temperature
especially in the older bones

A thankful chance to inhale
the salt air of tranquility
he skips a stone
with enough momentum
that it travels around the world
barely noticed
except for the volcanoes
on the ocean floor

As always
won’t be long before
they have something to say
