A safer line of work?
difficult to say
but we have our suspicions
it’ll be up to literary historians to decide

Safer of course
than other parts of the world these days
and barring climate change induced weather disaster,
car crash, innocent bystander gang shooting,
natural causes of any and all kinds,
global nuclear war
no safer than 1973
where it all began

Though in hindsight
as has been illustrated in this latest chapter
the line of work goes even further back
than this or that
