Impressed by the drum-beat-chant
How it has survived all these centuries

Saddened at the unmarked graves
Children's faces who never made it home

Impressed by the speeches
In so many beautiful languages besides our own

Angered at the sixties scoop
Residential school system

Impressed by the music
Indigenous story telling put to electric guitar

But above all else impressed in how eventually
Always the Truth comes out
