heat dome high
sandwiched between two lows
will last for days
the weatherman says
and let’s not forget thanking
the meteorologists
for all these clever new terms
If only it could last
we say to ourselves
but all good things
must come to an end
braced for annual onslaught
Humidex most foul
derecho and tornado?
but for now let's all
