Where has the time gone? Glad I left when I did. 10 years of full freedom, in relatively good health, although the last 5 have seen some challenges.

Of course, my parents were gone by then; they never got to see me retire. And now, more and more I’m beginning to understand what they went through in their last bit of time together. 15 years of full freedom, in relatively good health, but when the end came, it came quickly.
I am thankful to have lived as long as I have, to have seen the things I have...and experienced, the marvels, miracles and downsides of modern technology. How mankind has come so far. In other ways, not.

Will I live to see another 10 years? Sometimes have my doubts. Better to keep plugging away at all that gives meaning to this life, than worrying about what’s beyond all our control.
