Upon The Stage Within Our Cage by Chris Sorrenti
I love to dance upon the stage
Play my thoughts in fits of rage
Alone with my friends within our cage
A million miles from childhood games
Yes, forgive them Father
For they know not what they do
All of us guilty of the ageless crime
It beckons like a shipwreck forecast
Only the strongest to steer away
Man, an animal or higher being?
Just sheep in the flock or ruthless killers?
The debate goes on both day and night
As the lovers love and the fighters fight
There’s a trend on the upgrade
Let us seek and listen, for the better of us all
To play and win
And if you lose, you can’t go far
In your own cage you’re still a star
I love to dance upon the stage
Swing my fists in fits of rage
Alone with my friends within our cage
A million miles from childhood games
