As all numbers say something
so this one today
came across a photo
of yours truly
in the newsfeed
one of the better ones
you might say
imagining if
the photographer only knew
she wouldn’t be here
to see it again

A lot of water passed
under that and
all the other bridges
since then
though put to the pen easily
not a long time
whether it be 11
or 111 years
the number’s just a
highlight marker
quickly washed away
