In memory of David Crosby
     RIP 1941 – 2023

As we came together
both quickly noticed
how musically in tune
we were with one another
a handful of artists
still come to mind

The Rutles (Beatles spoof)
Flock of Seagulls
soundtrack to that crazy movie
Even Cowgirls get the Blues
with k.d. lang
as she later introduced me to
Calgarian and fellow Albertan
Jan Arden

But what really made
her eyes light up
was when I pulled out a CD
rarely listened to

Leaning closer
she smiled and whispered
it's a great album
to make out to

And you know something?
she was right!
