Written in the middle of the storm of the century
but it’s Christmas (2022)
and some lighter fare is called for

The English language for example...

Continues to evolve
in unexpected but not so surprising ways
in a world where time and space
have become priceless commodities
(if they weren’t already)
everything’s being miniaturized
including words

Some have been combined...

The ever popular
Ginormous (gigantic + enormous)

While a more recent trend is to
reduce multi-syllable words to one

One of my favorites is favs

And in the end
if you don’t like this poem...
No prob!
