of the left eye
the right one
takes longer to heal

A swollen cornea says the doc’
in post-op follow-up
after looking through his
high-powered thingamajig
not uncommon to take 3-5 days

And with the 3 drops of names
hard to pronounce
4 times a day
over the past 48hrs
there is noticeable difference
though ability to read small print
can never be fully restored

Amazing how
we take our bodies for granted
in those younger stretches
uncontrollable
the gift of senses
dulled over the years

Hopeful
another medical chapter
soon put behind
then on to repair
arthritic left knee
