Now we know the meaning of our truth
the physics and geometry of the situation
from acquaintance to friend in the flash of a smile
with the knowledge we’re not getting any younger

And isn’t it something just to know
we’re not the animal that sometimes showed
but triggers on a gun
aimed bullets on the run
exploding into the sea of words
having burned off the chains of misunderstanding
like two superpowers in conference
there’s been an accord

They say with age comes wisdom
and from wisdom there comes wealth
it’s gold of a different nature
a few years lost seems insignificant
when you know you’re going to live forever
let’s take advantage the best way we can
when all that’s left to what lies ahead
is to slowly expand the circle
though it may take an eternity
