Song after song after song

Was van Gogh really insane?
to cut off his ear
or was it creative overspill?

Compulsion

An addiction – sometimes a curse
That to others might seem odd

Over his or her lifetime
But why?
Tell me why?

Is it an extended growth of tissue?
In the left temporal of the brain
A gift from God to convince others
Divinity does exist?

Not always a good thing
Though better than the alternative

When hobby turns to habit
Habit becomes...
