The blur/distortion in this photo is due to it being from a roll of film, developed past its best before date.

In the pre-digital days, I tended to take more photos than my budget allowed for processing. Lol

When I finally went digital around 2010, I took my last 7 rolls of film in, and instructed the store to develop them no matter what. This is one of the results.

I find sometimes that distortion makes for interesting abstract photography. I really like this one for its haunting quality, thus the title. Taken at Baskin’s Beach, Ontario, at the end of a summer season, adds to its somber surreal mood.
