My secret garden is a place
I seldom want to leave now
when there
I am safe
as if
within a second womb
where the hours pass quickly
without fear or worry
despite what goes on all around

In my secret garden
there is only pleasure
taking me away
for a while
to a far-away fairy tale land
where there is no need for
a yellow brick road melodrama

Today
I don’t mind
as I just have
sharing my secret garden
with you
because I know
you have
a secret garden too
