I’m so far away from all of you now
but neither above nor below

this self-proclaimed hermit
purposely cut off
from the world that no longer feeds
or needs him
for a while at least
an indeterminate amount of time

not depressed though somber
a touch of Melancholia
as they used to call it
back in the day

though getting back to that first line
a cup of coffee would be nice
