It’s time for action
Cry the politicians
Misguided and vague
As they often are
Afraid to admit the God-awful truth

What action?

When we all know
If someone has it in their heart
To hate another
Or a group of people
Humanity in general
What can be done?
Once turned to that kind of thinking

Except maybe a bullet in the head
To deter others
Yet knowing
There will always be those
It will have little or no effect
Too far gone

The only real action to be taken
Is knowing...accepting...waiting that
It will happen again

Author's Note: Written in response to the mass murder of a Moslem family of four (grandmother, parents, 15-year-old daughter) in London, Ontario, 3 days ago. They were purposely mowed down by a 20-year-old man in a pickup truck. A 9-year-old son survived the attack, and is recovering in hospital. Two Go Fund Me pages have been set up for him, that at last count had reached 1.7 million dollars.
