Seems things have slowed down at Facebook
at least postings by family and friends
Including myself

Grown tired of reading one another’s
spiritual affirmations and joke memes
though I still like to share the odd one

It’s helped some of us at least
get through these long covid months
trying to survive the new reality

I have no plans for leaving
but must stay away from time to time
this vital link to the outside world

People are weary
anxious to get away from their computers
go outside and play again

Though the fear frustration and anger
remain palpable
the road ahead appears shorter than the one behind
