I do so enjoy
these periods in-between
with the poetry machine
turned off
if but for a short while
and only the world around
good or bad
to keep me company
How long it will last
is anyone’s guess
all I know is
passion’s best
when not overused
and soon it’s fun again
to play the game
of word association
Agreed; passion is not a constant, but a contrast.
Without comparison, everything is merely what it is. I had a dream machine once, but it kept me awake if one of us forgot to turn the other off.
