3 being the rise and fall of ISIS
a different kind of war
not seen in a hundred years

This enemy kills silently
this enemy
invisible to the naked eye
it is nowhere
and everywhere around us
making us prisoners
in our own homes

It likes it when we venture out
though doesn’t really have a mind
it’s just a virus
programmed to do
without conscience guilt or regret
what it does best
