long before the first debate
he reminded one of a schoolyard bully
who never got whomped

the news just out today
already a conspiracy theory
he and Melania test positive
only fake news
but surely the official
White House letter of announcement
wouldn’t lie

not beyond the realm of possibility
considering the demeanor
of a pathological liar
up there on the stage
so insecure
he couldn’t let his opponent
get a sentence in

ahhh
but what’s the point in debating?
the fact and fiction
of how it now stands
he and Melania will surely make
a miraculous recovery

there again
Karma works in mysterious
and not so mysterious ways
