By all accounts and measurements
It has arrived
Like the little boy who tried to plug the flooding dam
Wherever he put his finger to seal a hole
Just beside it a new leak would emerge

Author's Note: I’m sure like many, I’m being overwhelmed by events of the past couple of weeks, here in Canada and around the world. Equally heartened though at the progress being made in understanding and combatting the virus, albeit in baby steps. I’m sure most of us would agree that until we have a working vaccine, the waves will continue in varying intensities and degrees.
