My parents had a saying: “Never believe anything you hear, and only half of what you see.”

As luck would have it, one of my Facebook friends, who lives in Marseilles, France, indicated that the doctor in the photo in fact lives in France, and practices a completely legitimate kind of medical research; epidemiology.

Author's Note: The last few words in the meme have been redacted, as it includes the ‘F’ word. I have no problems with the word, and have occasionally used it in my poetry, however I feel it’s best done only when it adds to what needs to be said, and in moderation, for maximum effect. I felt it was a little over the top here, involving an unnecessary insult to the reader, to what is otherwise a strong and vital message.
