A testy bunch some of them
over at Aircraft of the Cold War

Most are happy just to post
favorite pictures or links
and show off their knowledge
to those who share a love of military aviation
when we lived in the shadow of the hydrogen bomb
and arguably still do

But Heaven help you
if you get the slightest detail wrong
got to keep the history pure!
oh well
there are fanatics
and know-it-alls in every walk of life
why not Facebook?

The intelligent among us
have learned to stay away from political conversations
for the umpteenth time
the Avro Arrow debacle all over again?!?!
more fun to watch from the outside
when a debate turns nasty

10 days in the FB slammer!
for foul language and unsportsmanship
decry Zuckerberg’s minions

A friend of mine likes to tease me
calling it an airplane fetish
and who am I to argue/disagree?
although I sometimes have to remind her
it’s safer than robbing banks
better than murdering people
