It was bound to happen sooner or later.

Yet another murder of a black man by white cops, either too stupid or just caught up in the moment, to realize the cameras were rolling. A few bad apples in several cities leads to a lot of bad apples, and eventual...predictable...decent into chaos. 1968 all over again.

Not that the country wasn’t heading that way anyways, with all the patriots and red-necks, clamoring for reopening …going back to the old normal. More stupidity. Of course, pretty well anything in the United States spreads north into Canada, this time with justifiable outrage. As with any protest...movement, more bad apples blend in with the peaceful, looting and destroying, giving the others a bad name. Same old same old, only this time a lot of those people are carrying guns.

Despite being a political junkie, more and more now, I close off all access to the outside world. When I do turn on the radio or television or Internet, it’s just long enough to get a grasp of the situation; analysis and meditation do the rest.

Gut instinct tells me I’m not alone, many of us preferring to continue living isolated (with loved ones if possible) in the safety of our own unique bubbles.

At night, under the covers, we instinctively curl up into the fetal position.

"...either too stupid or just caught up in the moment, to realize the cameras were rolling."
Yes, as opposed to "too stupid to realise that what they were doing was wrong."
Is that the problem? Are those who condone the use of violence regarded as 'mainstream'? Does moral development for the majority stall at the "do not get caught" stage?
