I’ve been thinking for a while
as maybe you too?
of making your poems a separate collection
usually that’s the way it works
five or more
create a new file
basic records management
helps keep the mind sharp
though yours have been way beyond five
for decades

As it would be putting you
under a much brighter spotlight
a decision
not to be taken lightly
would of course
need your blessing...approval
till then a line I dare not cross

Truth be told
you’re already a part of literary history
question is how much more do you want to be?
