Is where we want to go
most praying sooner than later
politics aside
though inescapably part of it
we all look ahead
to how things could and
may be

When all the face masks
will disappear
plexiglass barriers unscrewed
removed from their moorings
but will they all?

And despite the uncertainty
in months ahead
maybe later than sooner
in our collective mind
we will remember loved ones
who didn’t make it
and the idiom
a brave new world
given whole different meaning
