Learned a new walk
the other day
the news-anchor said my survival
might depend on it

It’s really quite simple
so here’s how it goes

You take a step
with your right foot
then a step with your left
keep it all moving forward
at a steady pace
until eventually coming across
someone else

Could be a stranger
or maybe a friend
greet them kindly
but keep your distance
six feet apart!
no hugs or handshakes
or even knuckle bumps
then continue on your way
