Friends come and go
some stay only a short while
others longer
while a few happily
remain what seems forever

Some ask to be friends
perhaps knowing you
from the physical world
then never comment on
anything you post
even if you comment on theirs

As a result
it’s good to do a cleanup
every now and then
if sincere about keeping
some sort of contact going

I’ve seen a few
with over 900 friends
how can one possibly
stay in contact with them all?
I suppose
a different kind of
security blanket...addiction
