I sometimes feel like
the Wizard of Oz
huffing and puffing through life
in an amplified voice
complete with smoke bombs
elaborate light show
to make myself appear larger
than what I really am
till someone
curious and brave enough
peeks around the corner
pulls back the curtain
only to reveal a little man
at the controls
growing smaller with his years
yet comforted in knowing
how many other wizards
are out there
