Augusts come
Augusts gone
August here again

The lemniscate
at its finest
My adoptive month
or did it adopt me?

The month of spiders
has returned
It’s spiritual energy
to sustain me
for another year

As I look back
with fondness
to all the Augusts
of my youth
And the Augusts
still ahead
