As with the little boy’s photo
discovered a year or so ago
unrecognized
by anyone still on this side
but lots of hints and clues

Each box of memorabilia
a hodgepodge
from different eras
lots of strangers’ faces
some vaguely familiar

And along with all the pictures
comes a treasure trove
of paper
bits and pieces of lives
snippets of information
from decades going back
some seventy years

A series of pen & inks
collection incomplete
based on taste
judging by the numbering
45/100 and so on
in bottom left corners
buildings/locations
aptly labelled
but artist’s name on right
a victim of his or her own success?
impossible to decipher
