For those of you unfamiliar with the story
the great invasion took place from May 2014
to December 2017
while the second (unplanned)
began in January 2018
you’ll have to swim in the Sea of Words
to know the rest
and for the newbies
a task I don’t envy
knowing the full volume

I didn’t ask for it to happen
but as you all already know
Destiny tends to have a mind of its own

Like when you fall into fast moving water
rather than fighting the current
better to go with the flow

The problem with Poetry
aside from the fact
it feeds Dopamine (an addictive substance)
to the ego
and can even lead to delusions of Grandeur
not unlike a snowball rolling down a hill
once the floodgates have been opened
with that first poem
almost impossible to turn the tap off
unless maybe cutting off one of your ears
