Canada’s in an uproar
With red fighting blue
Some orange and green
Mixed in there too

All over something called a
Price on Pollution
Though Trudeau and McKenna
Aren’t fooling anyone

The rest of us trying to figure out
If they’re going to give
Most of it back at tax time
Then why bother taking it at all?

They say we Canadians
Gotta change our ways
Though no one else in the world
Seems to be changing theirs

The experts saying Canada’s warming
At twice the global rate
Though the media never mentions
How they’ve come to that conclusion

So keep filling up those gas tanks
Cause you have to
Keep buying that overpriced food
The carbon tax is a good thing

Come the federal election in October
Climate Change or not
We’ll see if
The rest of the population agrees
