or completely off for a time
knowing all the while
it’s still there
24/7

Yes
takes a special breed
to swim those hallowed halls
without drowning

With high hopes
we watch them dive in

Those who enter
the road to Hell
always paved with...

just hold your noses
Mister or Ms. Politician
as you toe that party line
