Welcome to my new navel
or no navel at all
depending on how you look at it
at least compared to the one
I was given at birth
a small outsy

And the monstrosity
that developed over the years
a mushroomed hernia
ugly...gross
certainly no chick magnet

Only seen one before
on a boss at work
his was no prettier
Mini-Me I jokingly named it
wherever I went
it got there before me

Now all that’s left
is a smooth bump
with line across the middle
where they stitched me up

Yesterday
I got fitted for progressives
picking them up in a couple of weeks
then I’ll be able to retitle this poem
