Politician by Chris Sorrenti
Couldn’t pay me all the money in the world to be one
Though when you think of it
Each of us is in his or her own way
But Prime Minister – no thank-you
Ah – those magical days of 2015
Canada’s Back and all that jazz
Sorry Justin – even the largest crystal ball
Couldn’t have predicted how things would turn out
Taking on-the-job-training
To a whole new level
You’re getting better at it – learning though
Diversity turned ugly in a few short years
What with polarizing issues
Each with its own spin and disinformation
The second largest country in the world in gridlock
From the clash of special interests and the courts
Will I vote for you in the next election?
Didn’t in the last
Though now glad you beat out Harper
In hindsight - it was time for a change
Hey man - I wouldn’t blame you
If you decided to pack it all in
Retire to Tahiti saying
To hell with the rest of you – work it out yourselves
