Untitled 09/2018

by Robbi Skaera

Once we are over this,
we can finally relax
and the winds that blow will leave us.

Our left-behinds won't thank us,
but we can be their photographs;
memoirs, things we shouldn't do

forgotten diaries that they might find.

Our peace may not be found here,
but love beats fear, even if we lose,
love cannot be killed,
even if we can.

A marvelous ode, Robbie. Am particularly enamored of the second stanza.
