The hits continuously rise
in a numerical hierarchy

Certain poems read side by side
create subtle messages
between titles and lines

Another month rounded off
to the nearest ten
but oh! what’s this?
…803 804 805...

We pirouette around one another
in an ever-tightening orbit
of trust
communicating
in a whole new language
of digits and words

And so for now
let us continue playing
this wonderful new game
to mathematical daydreams
of you and me
together
