Plain Parents

by Johnny Crimson

Rare pageants
are a pittance
like a placid admittance
of painstaking peculiarity,
they're probably pissed.

Pool waters
make pagans
swim propped up
and prim
like police paying pool men
for proper petty advice.

Pink parents
mink parents
and rambling sane parents,
are no substitute
for perfectly plain parents.

isn't that the truth!

Certainly this is playful in both rhyme and word choices. I love the pool waters making "pagans swim propped up and prim," and think the "pink parents, mink parents" is toooo clever. Here's to "plain parents!" Thanks, Johnny.
