so many feelings roused inside
whirling twirling
from a steady stimuli
warm currents of spirit
lifting us into cerebral stratosphere
to the heartbeat of a third eye

liquefied into 20/20 foresight
those ever-sleepless externals
spinning this top of flesh and mind
to blow up bridges
with the slightest of glances
only to build new ones
in half as much time

we stretch our arms out
and begin to rotate
tight as an elastic band
suddenly unwound
held in equilibrium
by a single finger
memories and ideas
fly off us in all directions

with every rotation
to gain new understanding
expression...strength
only now realizing
the purity of this hybrid
work of art we’ve become
and in wonderment
ask ourselves how
in a not so distant history
could have been so blind
